ABOUT
- Myrna J. Shomali has over 23 years of experience in the legal field. Myrna is a Certified Paralegal and California Legal Document Assistant (LDA), Bonded and Registered in the County of Riverside, CA. Before launching her own business, Shomali Legal Services in 2014, she had worked with several lawyers as a startup legal assistant in 2001, continued her studies in paralegal and legal research, and worked her way up to be certified, registered, and bonded. To get more experience, Myrna did volunteer work in different legal courthouses clinics assisting clients in unlawful detainer (eviction), civil, family law, immigration especially VAWA, and more, under the supervision of attorneys.
- Commissioned and Bonded by the California State government, Myrna was a Notary Public for 12 years [2005-2017]. She took the course and passed the California State exam and now she is an appointed Mobile Notary Public, serving all Counties in CA.
- Myrna provided free legal help @ Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County [NLSLA] at Paocoima, Vannuys, Pomona and other courthouses for many years.
- Myrna has assisted several lawyers in different fields over the years and is therefore knowledgeable in a wide range of legal and document services: Probate, Conservatorship, Guardianship, Estate Planning, Family Law, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, Immigration, Personal Injury cases, and much more. She currently works with several lawyers as a Freelance Paralegal/LDA on a contract basis.
- Ms. Shomali is fluent in the Arabic language and has substantial contacts and ties in the Arabic-speaking community. She was a volunteer at the Charter Oak Unified School District as English/Arabic Interpreter.
- Shomali Legal Services (SLS) can assist individuals with the preparation of legal documents, filing (or e-filing) with the courts, and self-representation [“pro se”] in legal proceedings. We follow up and follow through with all services for which we are hired.
